Ricky Martin has announced he will hold a fundraiser to support the re-election of President Barack Obama.
The Latino singer will host the event this May taking a cue from George Clooney who will also hold a party for the American leader.
Ricky told Univision's Primer Impacto that he will be hosting the event along with the LGBT Leadership Council and the Futuro Fund in New York City.
"I am proud to support our President," the openly gay singer said. "I believe Barack Obama has shown a deep conviction to help those most in need, even if their voices are not always the ones heard the loudest in Washington."
Ricky said that he was happy Obama was a strong advocate of the Latino and LGBT communities.
The father-of-two has also just sold his Miami Beach house for $10.6 million which Beyonc Knowles and Jay-Z apparently considered buying.
