Robbie Williams: Take That reunion is full of energy

11th October 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Robbie Williams thinks there will be an earthquake if he tours with Take That.

The singer left the British boy band in 1995 after falling out with bandmate Gary Barlow. The group split up the following year, but Gary, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Howard Donald reunited in 2005. They went on to enjoy chart and tour success, and earlier this year it was announced Robbie was rejoining them for a new album, Progress.

It has been reported the band will embark on a tour next year and Robbie has fuelled the rumours by saying he would love to take to the stage again with Take That. He expects the reception to be overwhelming and is predicting it could spark some kind of natural disaster.

We did the Children in Need gig last year and just stepped on stage for two minutes with each other and the energy that was coming back at us was palpable, Robbie said during an interview on British television show Daybreak. Gaz always says, I cant wait to be stood along that line, lad, and we look down at each other and I nod to you.

You cant imagine what its going to be like. There is going to be some kind of earthquake.

The 36-year-old star is thrilled to have reunited with his bandmates. He thoroughly enjoyed recording the new album with them and says the process has become more democratic since he was first in Take That.

Now he has achieved success with his career and is happily married to actress Ayda Field, Robbie says the most important thing for him is to have fun. He believes being part of Take That is the perfect way to keep himself entertained.

It feels really good to be with the boys and to be honest I wouldnt be doing much if I wasnt with them anyway, he added. We listened to the Circus album they did and watched the tour and I thought, I want a piece of that. They looked like they were having so much fun and they are having so much fun. The democracy of Take That is brilliant now, everybody chips in, everybody gets an equal say. Its something I dont plan on leaving for a bit. (C) Cover Media
