(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Robert Pattinson has joked he is a pessimist and sees the worst in most situations.
The British actor is best known for playing brooding vampire Edward Cullen in the popular Twilight franchise. He has tried to avoid being typecast and has landed a role in new movie Water for Elephants, in which he plays veterinary student Jacob. Even though Robert enjoyed playing the optimistic character, he admits they have very different personalities.
[Jacob] is a genuinely nice person, a kind, good hearted person. Even when he is bombarded with bad, Robert said in an interview with British television show Lorraine. Am I like him? No! I see the worst in everything!
The 24-year-old hunk has made no secret of his struggle with fame. Robert has attracted fans all over the world since starring in the Twilight films and often laments the loss of his privacy. However, the actor admits he is finally adjusting to his status, but has vowed not to take success for granted.
I am kind of getting used to it, he replied when asked if he is happy being famous. But I never want to get too used to it because then when it goes away I will be like, Oh God! What am I doing?
It is possible to have privacy, but it is quite complicated. The good thing is that when you do find you are not paranoid about everything then you are guaranteed to have a really great day. It is quite easy to have a great day and not many people can say that. (C) Cover Media
