(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Robert Pattinson takes his dog on "private jet" outings.

The 25-year-old The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 star recently adopted a dog named Bear from a Baton Rouge, Louisiana animal shelter.

Robert is thoroughly enjoying his first few weeks with Bear. He has already taken his hound on classy trips.

"Just by coincidence this doesn't happen in my life very often - but I ended up being on a private jet like three days [after the adoption]," Robert said on television programme Live with Regis and Kelly. "It was kind of ridiculous. Literally three days after that, we were going to L.A. and [Bear] had his own seat [on the plane]."

Bear seems to be adapting well to Robert's cosmopolitan lifestyle.

"I've smuggled him over borders many times," Robert admitted.

Robert saved Bear's life. The dog would have been put to sleep if Robert had not rescued him when he did.

"He was in one of those shelters where they don't keep them around for very long," Robert explained. "He was on his sixth of seven days."

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 will be released in US theatres on November 18. (C) Cover Media
