(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Ryan O'Neal "feels vindicated" after paternity test results reveal that he hasn't fathered Jessica Zellars' son.

The Californian woman claimed that she and the 71-year-old actor had a "brief romantic relationship" with each other after they met in Malibu.

Jessica gave birth to her son in February and believed that her tryst with Ryan was the cause of her pregnancy.

Ryan and his representatives are elated that they are now scientifically able to prove that the baby's not his.

"[These claims were] false [and] ridiculous," Ryan's rep Arnold Robinson told RadarOnline. "As we stated when this allegation was initially made, Mr. O'Neal never had sex with this woman, and we feel completely vindicated."

Ryan has four adult children, three of whom have suffered from drug addiction. The actor has spoken previously about his parental regrets.

"Looks like it, doesn't it? Sure looks like it," he replied on the Today show this week when host Matt Lauer asked if he was a bad parent. "I suppose I was."

Ryan's late partner Farrah Fawcett died at the age of 62 after a long battle with cancer.
