(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Ryan Phillippes ex-girlfriend Alexis Knapp has reportedly been telling pals she is pregnant with the stars child.

Movie hunk Ryan is already father to 11-year-old Ava and Deacon, seven, his children with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon. The heartthrob is currently dating actress Amanda Seyfried, although reports are suggesting that his old flame Alexis who he split from in September after an on/off relationship lasting around seven months is carrying his third child.

A source close to Alexis told UsMagazine.com that the actress/model is currently in her second trimester.

"She has been telling people he is the father," added another source to the publication, while another insider suggested otherwise, explaining; "She's not commenting on who the father is".

It is thought Ryan is currently unaware of the situation, although those close to the star are adamant he will take full responsibility if the child is his. The actor has always been a responsible family man, and pals see no reason why this should change.

"Ryan doesn't know if he is the dad," the second source added. "If he is, he will take full responsibility for the child."

Rumours first began to fly around when Alexis was photographed in Los Angeles on Friday with a baby bump. Meanwhile, RadarOnline.com spoke to Ryans mother, Susan Phillippe, who explained she hadnt heard anything of another grandchild.

"I don't think Alexis has been around for a long time. I don't think it can be true. He's been dating someone else since October, she said.

If she is pregnant I'm sure it's not my son's. Good luck to her. I haven't been made aware of it if it involves him though."

Representatives for both Ryan and Alexis have not yet commented. (C) Cover Media
