7th January 2019

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar and wife Saira Banu have repeatedly raised the issue of builder, Sameer Bhojwani who has harrased time and again over a property ownership. The builder made false claims of ownership on their property in suburban Bandra. The property is worth Rs. 250 crores and the builder claims it as his property. Bhojwani is said to be out on bail.

The star couple also filed a complaint against the builder in January 2018 for forging the documents of their land. The actors have stated that this property was bought for Rs. 1,50,000 by them back in 1953. Banu had also asked the PM of India a couple of days back to look into this matter.

Recently, Saira Banu had tweeted from Dilip Kumar's official twitter handle that read "Thank you everybody for your love and support in these stressful times. We've decided to file defamation suit of Rs200 crore against Land Mafia Sameer Bhojwani for maligning Dilip Sahab's image by publishing derogatory content in @timesofindia - Saira Banu Khan."

Moreover, the notice send to the builder Bhojwani reads, "The said press note was published with a criminal intention to grab/ encroach the legitimate rights of my clients by creating a perception in the general public at large that you are the owner/ landlord of the said property and you are free to deal with the same. My clients have also come to know that you are trying for the sale of the property or a lien by representing yourself as the owner of the said property."
