For those newcomers who are lucky enough to find Salman Khan's support, he is nothing less than a godfather.

The actor who has till date mentored and supported stars like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Himesh Reshammiya, Sajid-Wajid, Sonakshi Sinha, Daisy Shah, Arjun Kapoor, etc has also been very supportive towards Mahek Chahal.

The dusky Norwegian model after winning a beauty pageant abroad, made her Bollywood debut in the film 'Nayee Padosan' a couple of years back. Though apart from a couple of item songs and miniscule roles, the actress's Bollywood graph boasts of nothing more as yet.

But the actress is happy with whatever she has done so far. "I am happy with whatever I've done so far in Bollywood. I had moved to Norway for a while but I am back now. I am working on a couple of projects," she said.

The actress who worked with Salman Khan in the film 'Wanted' was a contestant on the fifth season of Bigg Boss. It was rumoured that Salman, the superstar and the show host had a say in her selection.

However, Mahek cried foul to the same. "It is unfair to say that Salman Khan was partial to me on the show. He is a great human being who has backed everyone equally," she added about Salman.

Mahek also defended her decision to participate in the show and also the show which is infamous for it's controversial nature.

"I feel that there are too many wrong notions about Indian reality shows. Talking about Bigg Boss, one notion is that it is a way of achieving fame and that everything inside the house is scripted. I find that ridiculous. Several celebrities like Navjot Singh Sidhu have taken part in the show. Was it for fame? People should give some due credit to the contestants. I agree that the fights between the contestants get highlighted more, but then isn't that what the audiences are more curious about?," she questioned.
