Having played a cop in multiple films now including the blockbuster movies ‘Dabangg’ and ‘Wanted’, Salman is tired of playing a cop and has thus scrapped his plan to remake the Telugu hit film Dookudu.

In spite of the fact that Salman’s khaki avtaar has been adored by his fans time and again, the actor is apparently bored of playing the routine characters and has dropped his plan to remake the Telugu film starring Mahesh Babu.

According to a source, “Salman, who had played a cop in at least five films, was not too keen on repeating the act. In Dabangg 2, which goes on floors in March, Salman plays a cop yet again. That bascially forced him to rethink Dookudu.”

Incidentally, Salman’s sister Alvira Khan and brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri were eager to produce the remake. Alvira had even flown down to Hyderabad to finalize the deal with Mahesh (the lead actor of the original film) and his wife Namrata. Either Sohail or Arbaaz were to direct the project and even the financial modalities were worked out. However the last minute decision of the star has shocked everyone.
