Salman Khan's newly found passion

8th April 2014

Bollywood Actor Salman Khan is not the kind you can associate with farming. But ever since the nerve ailment troubled him, he is a changed man.

Salman, who has quit smoking and drinking for good, these days is indulging in a healthy hobby.

The actor has started farming and is growing vegetables in his Panvel farm house in his leisure time.

Salman has been growing potatoes, tomatoes and pumpkins organically without using any form of artificial fertilizers. He not only prefers consuming the organically grown vegetables on his own, but he also serves the same to guests who visit him.

The actor took up farming as he was disappointed with the quality of vegetables in city markets. However, he is not keen on earning any money from it.

The vegetables are consumed at his Bandra home and in their farmhouse, while the crops are served for guests and distributed in family and close friends.

Salman's father cum Bollywood's veteran writer Salim Khan is proud of his son and his changed habits.

"I've never seen Salman so passionate about anything. He's really given his heart and soul to the farm," he said.

Salim further added, "He loves spending time there, being at one with nature. And yes, we have no plans to sell the output commercially. It's just an initiative towards a healthy life."
