Salman Khan has been a godfather to many of the promising actors who dream to pursue acting as a career. The likes includes names like Katrina Kaif, Zarine Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, etc. who today stand as successful stars, only after Salman's much needed support. And the latest name to add to the list is Boney Kapoor's son Arjun Kapoor who is all set to make his debut in Yash Raj's 'Ishaqzaade'. 

Before bagging the film, Arjun worked as an assistant director for Karan Johar and Prabhu Deva, and it was while assisting Prabhu on 'Wanted' that Salman came across Arjun, the star. 

Arjun who weighed a humongous 140 kilos then wanted to pursue direction, as he never considered acting as an option citing his heavy frame. But it was Salman who took him under his wings and gave him the much needed motivation. He used to sit with him for hours and influence him to take up acting and lose weight. Salman guided him on the weight loss spree and inspired him to take up the fitness route. And here we have a fitter Arjun gearing to make a debut in the big bad world of Bollywood, thanks to some much needed influence from Salman Khan.
