Bollywood superstar Salman Khan ventured into film production with the 2011 film 'Chillar Party'. Salman has vouched that the profits made from the films made under his banner will be contributed to his Being Human Foundation. His debut production venture went on to win three National Awards and the then, newly launched production house 'Salman Khan's Being Human Productions' (SKBH) got a flying start.
But despite the success, he did not associate himself with anything until the Canadian co-production film titled 'Dr. Cabbie' came his way. The film that is directed by Canadian director Jean-Francois Pouliot, revolves around a young Indian immigrant, who is a doctor by profession, but takes up a job as a cab driver due to unemployment and later becomes a local hero when he turns his cab into a mobile clinic.
Starring Vinay Virmani, Adrianne Palicki, Kunal Nayyar, Lillete Dubey, Mircea Monroe and Rizwan Manji in the lead roles, the film is special according to Salman. The actor stated that the film would have a universal appeal and he is happy to be associated with this movie.
Kudos to Salman for helping bring such motivating stories to the big screen.
