Salman to produce small budget films

30th January 2013

From a stand alone apparel store, to opening up restaurants and now producing films, Salman Khan is doing whatever it takes to bring light to his favourite venture 'Being Human'.

Though the actor has already produced the film 'Chillar Party' under Salman Khan Being Human Productions (SKBHP), he is looking forward to making some more movies and he confirms that more projects are in the pipeline.

"We are working on more films. We are looking at two-three scripts right now. Let's see what happens," says Salman, adding that the movies made by Being Human Productions will be on the lines of 'Chillar Party'. "In essence, they will be happy films with strong messages," Salman adds.

It was also heard that Salman wanted to remake Mahesh Manjrekar's Marathi films 'Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho' and 'Mi Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy' in Hindi. But due to a busy schedule, the projects are handed over to Akshay Kumar.

However, Salman still confirms that he will be making the films, "I loved both his (Manjrekar's) films. We are working on them (script for the Hindi versions) right now," he says.

But the bigger news is that the man who is known to work in big budget films like 'Dabangg', 'Wanted', 'Ek Tha Tiger' and more is planning on making small budget movies.

"Technically, the money that goes into production isn't the foundation's money, since it goes from our pockets. Still, the idea is to make a good film with little money that brings in big business and helps our foundation grow," he says.

He further adds that the banner is aiming at making feel-good movies and hoping that such films keep getting better with each passing day.
