Sameera Reddy and Gautham Vasudev Menon are very close friends is no longer a secret. The latest we hear is that the actress is assisting the director on the sets of his forthcoming trilingual, Neethane En Ponvasantham.

Sameera was the leading lady of two of Gautham's films- Vaaranam Aayiram and Nadunisi Naaygal. It is said that the actress would play the lead of the director's forthcoming movie with Vijay, titled Yohan Athyayam Ondru.

'Though Sameera is busy with Hindi projects, she is seen on the sets of Neethane En Ponvasantham whenever she finds free time. She is learning the art of filmmaking by assisting Gautham Menon, who is considered as one of the finest directors in the industry,' sources say.

Sameera's last venture in Tamil was the Vishal starrer, Vedi, which hit the screens a couple of weeks ago. She is currently acting in Vettai, directed by Lingusamy, which has Madhavan, Arya and Amala Paul in lead roles.
