The makers of 'Daas Dev' are out with their first song titled 'Sehmi Hai Dhadkan' and it precisely displays the moments of tensed relationship in this love triangle. Sudhir Mishra's reversal adaptation of Chandra Chattopadhyay's classic novel Devdas seems to have Chandni (Aditi Rao Hydari) playing the grey character in this political drama. With Atif Aslam's soulful voice and composition of Vipin Patwa, this sad love song sensitively showcases the triangular love story essayed on the lead characters Rahul Bhat as Dev, Richa Chadda as Paro, and Aditi Rao Hydari as Chandni. While talking about its plot veteran director Sudhir Mishra said, "It's completely a new context. We can say it is about love in times of politics, corruption, hunger, power etc. It has turned out to be a strong romantic film with a kind of thriller. As the name suggests, Daas Dev is the reverse journey of Dev (Rahul Bhat). In other films, it was a journey from Dev to Daas while here it’s the opposite. People should watch it as a new film. I have taken the characters from Devdas and flipped it around a lot."

'Daas Dev' is slated to release on March 23, 2018, to clash with Rani Mukerji's 'Hichki'.
