'It's not a love story, but a story about love. It's not a conventional film on expected lines. You'll not be able to slot it in any particular genre,' says Selvaraghavan, while talking about his next venture Irandam Ulagam, which has his younger brother Dhanush in the lead role.

With Richa Gangopadhyay playing the heroine and with musical score by G V Prakash Kumar, the movie is getting ready for a Deepavali release. 'Mayakkam Enna is the story of Gen Next. It will be a realistic portrayal of emotions,' he says.

Mayakkam Enna is said to be a movie with contradictions, which deals with various phases of the life of a man, a role played beautifully by the national award winning Dhanush. 'The chemistry shared by Dhanush and Richa in Mayakkam Enna is great,' sources say.

The brothers Selva and Dhanush have written two songs each, while Dhanush has sung two for composer G V Prakash Kumar. The songs which hit the markets a couple of weeks ago have been making their presence felt by topping the charts.
