Shah Rukh Khan cleared of any wrongdoing at Wankhede stadium

6th October 2016

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who was banned to enter the Wankhede stadium after he got into an ugly spat with one of the police officials during a match in the year 2012 was given a clean chit in the matter by Mumbai Police.

A Police report stated that, "After the investigation, it was found that no cognisable offence had taken place." A local activist had lodged a complaint against Khan for using foul language against the security personnel and the whole incident. The police also said that the actor has denied all the allegations made against him in a statement.

For the uninitiated, it all happened when Shah Rukh's team Kolkata Knight Riders won a match at the Wankhede stadium and Shah Rukh along with his daughter Suhana and her friends entered the ground to celebrate the victory by taking a victory walk. A security guard stopped them from entering the ground and asked them to leave. This annoyed the actor and forced him to use foul language and a ban of five years was imposed on him which was lifted last year.

Well time to rejoice, Shah Rukh fans!
