October 5, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Viewers have already got this shocking news that their favorite show Dill Mill Gayye on Star One, is going off air on this October 15. Apart from the viewers, the news has also shocked one of the lead actors of the show Shilpa Anand, who played the role of Dr Riddhima in the first season.
Dill Mill Gayye was one of the most popular shows among the youths because of its youth based storyline.
Shilpa Anand, who plays the role of Dr. Shilpa, sounded very unhappy with sudden closure of the show. The actress said that its very unfortunate that the show is going off air because she never expected it to close so soon. She said that when she was brought back to the show, the makers told her that the future track will concentrate on the romance between Armaan and Dr Shilpa. It was decided based on the demands of the viewers, said Shilpa Anand.
The actress added that the track was being liked the audience and TRPs also shot up. However, a rumor spread that the rest of the three actors were unhappy about the focus getting shifted to Shilpa. Accordingly, the focus was shifted to the over possessiveness of Armaan about already married Riddhima. As per Shilpa, viewers did not like it and the damage was done to TRPs.
Speaking about the climax of the show, Shilpa said that viewers would never expect a married Riddhima to end up with her over possessive ex-boyfriend as it goes against Indian ideology and ethics. On the other hand, she is also not ready to accept that Shilpa unites with Armaan, who is still having strong feeling about her own sister and has turned negative. Shilpa thinks it would be very unrealistic for an intelligent girl to end up with such a man. She has left it to the creative team to decide the climax of the show.
Palki, creative head DMG, was quoted saying that the news is upsetting for her too. However, she has promised to end the show with a happy note. Palki does not think that the track of Dr Riddhima and Armaan has affected the rating of the show.
So, keep watching to see the climax of the show on October 15.
