South India's favourite chocolate boy Siddharth has bagged David Dhawan's remake of the 1981 superhit 'Chashme Baddoor'. Siddharth confirmed the news on a micro blogging website Twitter and said, "I am thrilled to confirm that I will be doing David Dhawan's next film! Davidji is a very dear friend and I respect him a lot..Can't wait :)".
Another south Indian actress, Tapsee, is also going to make her Bollywood debut with this comic caper. The original 1981 film by Sai Paranjpye had Farooq Shaikh, Deepti Naval, Rakesh Bedi and Ravi Baswani playing the lead roles.
Pakistani actor-musician Ali Zafar has also reportedly been roped in to play a pivotal role in the film. Now, only time will tell how these newbies can fit into the roles of talented veterans.
