South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) (see gallery) was indeed a glamorous and stylish affair this year.

SIIMA 2012, was a two-day event and for the very first time was organized on an international stage. The event took place in Dubai in the presence of all the who’s who of the industry. The show was commenced with a dazzling performance by multi talented singer and actress Andrea Jeremiah and Chinmayi Sripada.

For the first time in the history of SIIMA, popular and talented youth generation stars were bestowed with Gen Next awards. Dhanush won the ‘Sensation of South Indian Cinema’ award and Shruti Haasan won the ‘Pride of South Indian Cinema’. 

SIIMA is not only an award function, but a celebration of the talent and achievement of the South Indian Film Industry. It is truly a pleasure to see all the stars from tinsel town beaming with pride!
