The pair were seen at the Dream Downtown Hotel in New York last night. Alexander and Kirsten who both star in Melancholy arrived with a group of friends at around 1.30am. The party shared an outdoor terrace table and were seen laughing and joking until the early hours.

Alexander was happy to talk to fans and even agreed to have his picture taken.

"He was friendly with those who approached him," a source told New York Post. "He shook hands and posed for photos."

The Swedish hunk attracted even more attention when he decided to take a casual walk around the venue.

Alexander is currently unattached after splitting from actress Kate Bosworth.

He is making the most of his single status and has been hitting nightspots in New York. Earlier this week, the star was seen flirting with two women at Bayard's bar.
