Director Shankar after watching the Anuya's performance in 'Siva Manasula Sakthi' has signed her to perform a cameo role in his upcoming film 'Nanban', which is a remake of '3 Idiots'. The film that revolves around 2 friends (played by Jeeva and Srikanth) going in search of their best buddy, who transformed their lives leaves them to revisit their ever-cherishing college days. The film has Ileana D' Cruz playing the female lead character of a medical student and daughter of professor (performed by Sathyaraj). Anuya will play the role of her elder sister, who is pregnant and Vijay will perform her delivery surgery in a different way through the instructions given by Ileana over the phone. The role was performed by Mona Singh as Kareena's pregnant sister in '3 Idiots'.
