September 13, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Joy B. Ganguly is not resting his laurels after delivering a huge hit 'Shukno Lanka'. On the contrary he has floated a new production house called 'Satya Films'. Ganguly said that Satya films will make two to three movies each year. The next project for Satya Film will be directed by Anik, the movie is named 'Bhooter Bhabisyat'.
'Bhooter Bhabisyat' is a comedy about a gang of ghosts and Anik has put together a cast filled with high hitters of the Bengali film industry. The cast members include Swastika Mukherjee, Parno Mitra, Paran Bandhopadhyay, George Baker, Biswajit Chakroborty and Saswata Chatterjee. Anik mentioned that renowned actors Sabyasachi chakroborty, Parambrata Chatterjee, Mir, Kharaj and Ekavali will also be seen in important roles of the movie.
Anik said, "I am not fascinated by ghost stories, I wanted to make a comedy with an ensemble cast and chose to tell my story in the garb of a ghost story." Anik has been associated with the advertising world for 20 years and certainly knows how to package his films.
Talking about the plot of the movie Anik revealed, "With so many shopping malls and flats coming up in every nook and cranny of Calcutta, the ghosts are finding it tough to find a house they can inhabit." Anik chose to call his upcoming movie a satire rather than a dark movie.
It seems that 'Bhooter Bhabisyat' will be an interesting movie, let us wait and watch.
