Lyricist-turned-actor Snehan had a close shave, as the ship in which he travelled at Lankavi islands in Malaysia sank.

He was on the ship with music director Maria Manohar to compose songs for a film titled Ranam. They were accompanied by Vijayasekaran, who is the director of the movie.

Even before the rescue team could come, Snehan who knows swimming managed to rescue many and put them on another ship.

"It was the most tense moment of my life. But I am thankful that I was able to save many on board. A great moment in my life", said Snehan.
