The music of "Snehithudu", the Telugu version of Tamil hit "Nanban" (which itself is a remake of Bollywood blockbuster "3 Idiots"), was launched in Hyderabad on Thursday. Contrary to expectations, Aamir Khan, who had played the lead in "3 Idiots", did not turn up for the function.
Ram Charan Teja was the chief guest of the event, which took place last night at Shilpa Kala Vedhika in Hyderabad. Bollywood producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Rajkumar Hirani, Resul Pookutty, and Sharman Joshi were amongst others attended the function.
Director of the film Shankar accompanied by protagonist Vijay expressed hope that the movie would taste success in Telugu too. 'The Tamil version, which hit the screens Thursday last, has been getting very good response,' he said.
Srikanth, Ileana D'Cruz and Sathyaraj, who had played crucial roles in the movie, were also present. Music is by Harris Jayaraj and speakers at the function sounded optimistic that the film and its songs would impress the audience.
