(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Sofa Vergara's son is reportedly disappointed by the actress' recent love split.

The Modern Family actress is believed to have ended her romance with Nick Loeb following a series of arguments. During their two-year relationship, Sofa's 19-year-old son Manolo formed a close bond with Nick. The entrepreneur is believed to have been instrumental in getting Nick a place at Boston University and was always on hand to give advice.

"[Manolo] looked at Nick like a father figure," a source told New York Daily News. "They got along really well. Nick gave him girl advice. Nick really helped Manolo with his education."

Sofa sparked speculation she had split from Nick after attending the Met Ball in New York City alone last week.

The 39-year-old appears to be embracing her new single status and has been seen partying with friends in the past week.

However, it has been claimed that Nick who considered running for the Florida senate last year - isn't ready to move on just yet.

"[He] is still in love with Sofa," a source told the publication. "[But Sofa] is sitting pretty in Hollywood and doesn't want to be a political wife right now."

There has been speculation that the pair could reunite in the future.

"They have been fighting a lot recently and have been on the brink of splitting many times. It is not yet clear if they are over for good, but they are done as a couple for now," a source claimed recently. (C) Cover Media
