'Welcome' with Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead was one of the biggest blockbusters of 2007. So, when director Anees Bazmee had announced the sequel 'Welcome 2', all eyes were set to see if the production team would opt for the same Akshay-Katrina duo again.

But, John Abraham made news when the team confirmed that he had been signed for the lead in the sequel, and the same was the fate for Katrina, as it was Sonakshi Sinha, who was roped in to play the lead opposite John.

The latest news in tinsel town is that Sonakshi has apparently dropped the ball on the 'Welcome 2' team. She has opted out of the project citing her busy schedule with prior date commitments.

This has certainly left the movie team in a fix, who would now have to look for a new actress to 'Welcome' the sequel.
