SRK out, Ranbir in for ‘2 states’

10th October 2011

A few months back, it was announced that Chetan Bhagat’s best seller novel ‘2 States’ would be adapted on screen and will be directed by Vishal Bharadwaj with Shah Rukh Khan in the lead.

However, in spite of the director and actor’s willingness to start the film, it failed to hit the floors due to undefined reasons. After staying on the backburner for quite some time now, producer Sajid Nadiadwala who bought the rights of the book, is looking on to revive the film soon. Sajid is looking to collaborate with Karan Johar to co-produce the film. Sajid feels that more than the financial collaboration, the tie-up will be a creative pact between them. Nevertheless, the film earlier announced with Shah Rukh Khan in lead, may have Ranbir Kapoor replace him now.

But with Karan in talks to co-produce the film, will he replace his best buddy SRK with his current favorite Ranbir? Well lets just time reveal the secret.
