The picture of once arch rival turned friends Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan kissing the latter's sister Arpita Khan at her mehendi reception went viral for more reasons that one.

It proved that SRK not only warmly accepted the invitation to the wedding but made it a point to shower his unconditional love over the family too.

It also broke the misconceptions about SRK-Salman's rumoured rivalry. It showed to the world that the two are now all set to begin a new venture of friendship and start afresh.

And this warm camaraderie was clearly visible between them at Arpita's grand reception. As usual SRK reached the venue late, very late.

But as soon as he did, Salman played the perfect host and greeted him warmly. The two hugged and talked like old friends and even teased each other about the 'kiss' picture which went viral online. The aforementioned picture where they kissed Arpita on forehead was morphed as an image where the two khans were kissing.

Instead of taking an offence to the mischief, the two joked about the same in public. While greeting SRK at the reception Salman in his tongue-in-cheek humour asked Shah Rukh, "Did you see our morphed picture? I told them I have the original smooch picture."

To this SRK replied, "Yes, I did see." Salman further said, "Your expressions were so bad in the picture, it seemed you were actually enjoying it." To this Shah Rukh, who was seeing off Salman's mother Salma Khan replied, "More than me your expressions were bad."
