Star Plus To Bid Adieu To Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai

September 29, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Star Plus is finally going to say good bye to one of its most popular show Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai. The Rajan Shahis show is set to take bidaai from the channel on November 13 in India and by November end in UK. As per the reports, the decision of closing the show was taken by the channel Star Plus. This may come as shocking news to many of Bidaai fans as the show was still getting good ratings. But, the channel wants to replace it with a new show and they are adamant on this decision.

Initially, there were lots of talks to move the show to an afternoon slot but the idea was rejected.

Recently, Bidaai has completed 700 successful episodes. The show has been airing on Star Plus since October 8, 2007. Since last three years, viewers have offered lost of love to the show and its characters. The story of two sisters touched everyone starting from a housewife to a young college student as it was a story of four youths.

Sara Khan and Parul Chauhan became popular as Saadhna and Ragini, the two female lead characters. Actors Angad Hasija and Kinshuk Mahajan were known by all as Alekh and Ranvir. Recently, the show had a seven year leap and following this, the show missed Saadhna and Ranvir, who opted to move out of the show.

A new drama produced by Sphere Origins or Shakuntalam Telefilms, is likely to replace Bidaai.
