Stree: Shraddha and Rao's horror comedy seems promising

27th July 2018

It is Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer 'Stree' and the makers have given away its kinky and scary official trailer with the shower of quirks in most parts. The trailer begins with Pankaj Tripathi narrating them a tale of a woman who is now dead and haunts men by disappearing them away and just leaving their clothes.

The glimpse of the official trailer is a bit of horror in some parts but the majority of its tone is light-hearted and comedy. Shraddha Kapoor is Rao's love interest in the film. She says she just visits the place during the festive days. The 'Omerta' actor is seen playing a local town tailor and his monologue where he quickly spills about what types of clothes he can stitch, just hits the chord. This horror comedy film also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Aparshakti Khurana in pivotal roles. Earlier shared an official teaser by Rajkummar Rao a few months ago, we saw a small deserted town where no one was in sight. The walls of the town were painted with the message, "O Stree, kal aana" (Stree, come tomorrow). A cringy voiceover says, "Yahan koi mard nahi" (Taunting masculinity).

Helmed by Amar Kaushik, Stree is written by Raj and D.K who have earlier directed and written films like 'Go Goa Gone', 'Happy Ending', 'Shor in the City' and 'A Gentleman'.
