Tamannaah who had switched over to Telugu films because she did not get ample offers in Tamil said that there was no truth in the news that she has taken an amount of Rs. 1.25 crores to kiss Junior NTR in a film. Tamannaah was one of the leading actresses in Tamil film industry till last year. She had paired with almost all the leading actors including Vijay, Karthi, Dhanush and Jayam Ravi. She had acted in 10 films last year but now she has only one film in her hand and that too, waiting for release.

She was losing her offers because of the advent of new actresses like Tapsee, Hansika Motwani and Richa. Because of this she started camping in Andhra were offers are heaped on her.  Now she has been signed to pair with Junior NTR in the film titled 'Ooservelli'. There is news that she will be kissing Junior NTR in this film and because of this she has taken a remuneration of Rs. 1.25 crores. Tamannaah has refuted this. She while speaking about this said, "There is no truth in the news that I have received a hefty amount to kiss Junior NTR in the film 'Ooservelli'. I will not act in swimming and kissing sequences even if I am paid more. I am upset because people are spreading unnecessary rumors." Well, that's a part and parcel of the film industry girl!
