Thangasamy's next in Tirunelveli again

28th May 2012

K. S. Thangasamy became the talk of the K-town after his maiden directorial venture 'Raattinam', which hit the screens a couple of weeks ago, managed to win rave reviews from the media and admiration of the audience.

He is now planning to start his next, which will be set in the backdrop of Tirunelveli again, just like his first film. "But this movie will portray the southern town from a different angle. It will be a straight contrast to other Tamil movies," he says.

To be produced by Tamil Cinemas, the untitled film will have Vishwa, the protagonist of 'Eppadi Manasukkul Vanthai', in the lead. A fresh face is expected to be roped in to play the female lead.

Thangasamy, who had played a crucial role in 'Raattinam' besides wielding the megaphone says, "I came to Chennai with an ambition to become an actor. But fate had it that I became a director. I was part of Raatinam's cast only to quench my thirst for acting."
