January 28, 2011 (Sampurn Wire): It seems that rumors regarding the much awaited and highly anticipated movie, The Dark Tower just wont fade. At first there was news that Spanish actor Javier Bardem had been approached for the lead role of Roland Deshain. It was even being said that he had already been officially finalized. There were few other reports claiming that the film makers are indeed interested in him but are still looking for
someone more apt for the role.

Just when we started to think that Javier has bagged the biggie, reports started rolling out about English actor Christian Bale being approached for the role. Yes the Terminator Salvation guy. There were reports that Stephen King has found more interest in Bale while Bardem is slowly falling behind. Now if this was not confusing enough for you guys, how about bringing the multi talented Viggo Mortensen into the picture. There have been reports on this American actor, musician, painter stud, claiming his strong chances of bagging the role of the gunslinger in the movie. Its equally confusing when it comes to the second lead role of Susannah Dean. Contenders for this role, according to rumors are, English actress Naomi Harris, Dexter girl Jennifer Carpenter and Ghita Tazi, the beautiful French/Moroccan babe.

The movie will be made in three parts and there would be TV series filling the gaps between the trilogies. As of now, its been reported that the first installment of the movie is set for a release on the 17th of May in the year 2013.
