Born on August 29th, 1958 to an African American working-class family near Chicago, Michael Jackson had a very unsatisfactory and deeply disturbing childood but his future was written right when he was a child. He was destiny's child right from the age of eight. He joined his brothers in the band The Jackson 5, which toured a lot, giving him a strong base for his career ahead. This boy, even though he was unfortunate when it came to family life, was gifted when it came to music and dance. Soon he went on to make his solo albums and started-off with his solo performances. His much remembered albums include Thriller, Bad and Invincible.

Not just his professional life but also his personal life was of great interest to the world, especially the media. Right from his changing skin colour, which was diagnosed as vitiligo and lupus, to his surgeries and marriages.

His marriage to Elvis Presley's daughter, Lisa Marie Presley was also a hush-hush affair for a while. They made it public and soon got divorced. He later married his long-time friend Deborah Jeanne Rowe with whom he had a son and a daughter. After separation from her, he later had a third son who was apparently through a surrogate mother. He was also caught in many child-abuse controversies but nothing was proven against him.

Michael Jackson was a star in the truest sense of the word. He not only gave the world true pop but also showed how one can take on any problems and controversies with faith and courage. He received many awards and accolades in his lifetime right from the title "King of Pop" to winning Grammies awards.
