(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Tiger Woods paid his ex-wife Elin Nordegren a $110 million divorce settlement, it has been claimed.
The golf star announced his marriage to the Swedish model had ended in August, following months of lurid allegations about his personal life. A number of women claimed to have slept with Tiger while he was married, prompting him to admit to infidelity and apologise for the hurt he had caused his family.
The terms of the couples divorce have previously remained secret, with reports suggesting the split could cost Tiger as much as $500 million. RadarOnline is now reporting Tiger paid Elin $110 million, a figure she was more than happy with. It allows her to adequately care for their children three-year-old Sam and Charlie, 20 months, but she is determined not to squander the cash.
Tiger is worth hundreds of millions of dollars, with his earning, investments and the endorsement deals he's made over the years," a source told the website. "Elin got a lot of money, but she could have received more. She wanted enough money to not change her luxurious lifestyle but she didn't try to take him for every penny that she could. Elin wants to get on with her life."
Tiger is said to have been more concerned about working out childcare arrangements following the split. He was reportedly worried Elin might move back to Sweden, so wanted to ensure he was still able to see the kids as much as possible. (C) Cover Media
