Tori Spelling: Daughter saved me from grave

20th October 2012

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Tori Spelling was convinced she was "dying" when she fell prey to placenta previa 20 weeks into pregnancy.

The actress-turned-reality TV star and her husband Dean McDermott welcomed their fourth child Finn into the world on August 30. They also have three other children together.

Tori started bleeding profusely due to the condition that sometimes forces mothers to terminate pregnancy and she thought death was near.

"I stumbled to the bathroom, dizzy from losing so much blood. When I got there, I thought, This is it,' " she told People magazine.

"There was so much blood I thought, I'm dying. Not just [losing] the baby, but I'm dying.'"

Luckily Tori's four-year-old daughter Stella was nearby.

The star called to her child for help and Stella bravely heeded.

"I had to scream for Stella and I'll never forget the look on her face when she saw me surrounded by blood everywhere. I didn't want to panic her and I said, Baby, will you go get Daddy? Just tell him I'm bleeding,'" Tori recalled.

"Her eyes were as big as saucers and this is going to make me cry she looked like such a little toddler warrior. She said, Okay, Mama' and she ran. And two seconds later [husband Dean McDermott] came [in from Liam's room] and basically had to wrap me up to get me to the hospital."

The 39-year-old spent ten weeks in hospital when she was expecting Finn, as a result of the complications. (C) Cover Media
