Tough Bond Daniel Craig

13th September 2012

Daniel Craig is the toughest James Bond, claims Sir Roger Moore.

Roger portrayed the suave spy in films including 1973's Live and Let Die. He has been quizzed on how Daniel is doing in the role and had nothing but praise for the star.

The 84-year-old found it tougher to answer who would win in a fight between the Bond he played, Daniel's version and the portrayal offered by Sir Sean Connery.

"I don't think that Sean's in as good a shape now as Daniel Craig," he told Piers Morgan, after ruling himself out.

Roger was just as complementary about Daniel's portrayal of 007's romantic side. Bond is famously a hit with the ladies and Roger is adamant Daniel has played that well.

"You see Sean didn't come out of the sea in a bikini like Ursula Andress and nobody has done it rather like Craig coming out of the water," he laughed.

Roger won the part when he was 46 and was ordered to make some drastic alterations to his appearance.

"I gradually was losing all the weight and I was getting weaker and I started to lose all my hair, and I said Why couldn't you have got a bald headed, thin guy to start with and not put me through all of this torture?" he laughed.
