Varun Dhawan and Parineeti Chopra were seen endorsing a mobile social communication application in the past. The two complimented each other on the celluloid.

Now we hear that the pair is signed for 'Chenab Gandhi'. Producer Smita Thackeray has 6-7 films lined up for this year and 'Chenab Gandhi' is one of it.

She says, "I plan to produce six to seven films this year, including Chenab Gandhi, under my new banner. Everything should be finalised by January 30."

While praising the new talent, she said, "Chenab Gandhi is all about acting and from what everybody in the industry says, I think Varun Dhawan and Parineeti Chopra are a perfect fit. I can see only these two in this set-up".

The Blue eyed boy has given a nod to the project and now the makers are waiting for Parineeti's approval.

Initially it was creative maverick, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who was backing the project starring Vidya Balan, Rajeev Khandelwal and Amitabh Bachchan. However, the project got stalled due to some unknown reasons.
