'Veeresh -2' - A mini with maximum relief!

1st April 2011
Discerning exhibitor, KV Chandrasekhar, former President of KFCC, on the advice of his father, Mr Veeranna, has come up with a mini theatre of 270 seats – Veeresh-2, adjacent to the main theatre 'Veeresh' on Magadi Road. This is similar to the Inox or PVR single screen ambience.

Veeresh-2 and the renovation of Veeresh main theatre, reducing the seats from 1270 to 970, cost KV Chandrasekhar Rs.2.10 crores. “I would continue the tradition of accommodating only Kannada films and if there is no Kannada film for release my preference is Telugu and English” says he.

It was KVC's father, Mr Veeranna, who, after seeing the PVR screen, came up with a similar type of theatre, next to Veeresh theatre that was started in 1972. The proud son, KVC, agreed with the recommendations and inaugurated the similar theatre on Wednesday.

After closing the Veeresh theatre for eight weeks, the two theatres are now available primarily for Kannada films.
