Before you read between the lines and jump to any conclusions, allow us to clear that no animosity is brewing between the two filmmakers.

Both filmmakers Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani, who together have churned out hits like 'Munna Bhai' series and '3 Idiots', remain thick friends, but it is just their individual films that has forced them to bifurcate responsibilities amongst themselves.

Till date, Vidhu Vinod Chopra has been the producer of all Rajkumar Hirani films, but this time things will be different.

Along with directing his next film 'Peekay', Rajkumar Hirani will also be producing it. The film starring Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma is slated to go on floors by the end of this year.

The reason Vidhu and Hirani parted ways is the fact that both of them are preoccupied with their respective films. While Hirani will be busy with 'Peekay', Vidhu has already announced 'Chitthiyan', which will be made this year itself. 

As both the films go on floors one after another, both the filmmakers would not get the time to contribute in these projects simultaneously. And hence they mutually decided to produce their respective films.

Despite the fact that Raju will be single handedly producing 'Peekay', the film will be presented by Vidhu's banner only.
