(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Viola Davis is in the process of adopting a baby.
The 45-year-old American actress told E! News that she and her husband Julius Tennon are going to adopt a child "domestically".
Viola, who is currently starring in new movie The Help, shared the news at the red carpet premiere of the film.
"Yes, we're about to adopt a baby," she confirmed, but would not elaborate on further details.
The child will be the first for the couple who have been married for eight years.
Julius has two children from previous relationships.
The Oscar nominee and Tony winner has starred in films including Traffic, Solaris, and Doubt for which she received critical acclaim. The star received an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actress for her role in the 2008 drama.
Viola is Aibileen in The Help, which is based on the book by Kathryn Stockett. It's set in Mississippi in the 1960s and follows aspiring journalist Skeeter Phelan as she writes a book about how African American maids are treated in white households. (C) Cover Media
