Vir Das, who plays a quirky investment banker in his upcoming rom-com 'Amit Sahni Ki List', recently revealed that he based the character on his brother-in-law.
 
Confirming the news, Vir says, "My brother-in-law is an investment banker, so he is very suited-booted, very particular about things like the knot of his tie and his haircut and is generally a neatness freak, unlike me! So, I actually hung around him for a week to observe his mannerisms and habits, which helped me with my character."
 
The film is slated to release on July 18.
