Post the success of ‘Yeh Saali Zindagi’, Chitrangada signed her first commercial film, ‘Desi Boyz’ with Akshay Kumar, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone.

The first look of the film was recently released and what surprised everyone was Chitrangada’s absence from the first look. She was seen in a blink and a miss portion which surprised everyone to the core. Some perceived it as the makers' concious decision to showcase John and Akshay along with Deepika, who is a bigger star than Chitrangada.

But the actual fact was revealed later. Apparently, Chitrangada is in her most glamorous avatar and has lost oodles of weight to get into the svelte figure. The makers of the film wanted to bank on this factor heavily. In the film, Chitrangada has a sizzling salsa dance along with an item number to her credit. All these features of her role will be unveiled slowly and steadily.
