December 8, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The Whip My Hair girl Willow Smith is heading towards breaking a record by becoming the youngest pop star to have a UK No1 single. Earlier, this record was owned by American singer Jimmy Osmond, who became the youngest singer to reach No 1 at UK Singles Chart. Osmond was only nine when he achieved this reputation with his Long Haired Lover from Liverpool number in 1972.

Even though, Willow is now ten, her 'Whip My Hair' has received much better acceptance than that of Osmond in 1972. In fact, the fans find her number much peppier than Osmonds then 'X-Mas NO 1'.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smiths daughter is doing wonders across the world and has recently been signed JAY-Zs label Roc Nation.

If we consider other upcoming launches, then we have late Michael Jackson and Akons duet Hold My Hand from the album Michael but it cannot be expected to reach even in top ten. There have been a lotof doubts about it so we cant expect a very good response for this.

However, Willow has tough competition ahead from American hip hop group Black Eyed Peas, which has been applauded a lot for its performance at the reality show X-Factor at the weekend.

So, lets wait and watch if Willow can really whip her way to No 1 at such an early age!
