The event witnessed Shah Rukh Khan and Yashji in a candid conversation comprising his life journey so far, his comeback directorial film 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' (JTHJ), etc. And it was while discussing JTHJ that the living legend announced his retirement from film direction.

"I think I've had enough. I have always lived according to what my heart tells me. I won't make any film after Jab Tak Hai Jaan. I want to do other things now. Launch new people. My wife has been complaining, so I will make her happy."

SRK, who has been an integral part of Yash Raj Films for the past 20 years was saddened by his decision. "I feel sad, but great people decide when they want to finish....For years I have worked with Yashji. This is a moment of happy sadness," he said.

Regarded as the country's king of romance, Yashji has proved his mettle with intensely emotional and tragic movies, many of which went on to become box-office blockbusters.
