Yuvan Shankar Raja is celebrating his birthday today! One of the leading music composers of Tamil cinema, the musician started the day with the blessings of his father and maestro Ilayaraja.
Within a span of 15 years in Kollywood, Yuvan Raja has reached his 100th film mark. The upcoming 'Biriyani', which is being directed by Venkat Prabhu, starring Karthi Sivakumar in the lead, is Yuvan's 100th movie.
Considered a versatile composer, he often strives for different and innovative music and has explored and used elements of various genres in his compositions that range from folk and R&B to techno and heavy metal.
Yuvan is the third and youngest child of Ilayaraja and his late wife Jeeva. He is the younger brother of music director Karthik Raja and playback singer-cum-music director Bhavatharini.
