(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Zac Efron says having a brother is like having a partner in crime.

The actor shares a close bond with his younger sibling Dylan and this friendship inspired him to land a role in new movie Charlie St. Cloud. In the drama Zac plays the title character a young man who is struggling to cope with the death of his brother. Zac has revealed he immediately felt a connection to the script because he is so close to Dylan.

When I read the script I was emotionally grabbed by it. The relationship between brothers is cool and something Ive had some insight on, Zac explained in an interview with British television show Daybreak. Its like having a partner in crime your whole life, a built in friend. We shared bunk beds all our lives, so its safe to say we are very, very close.

Zac was also quizzed about the recent growth in his facial hair. The 22-year-old hunk is currently sporting a beard and says he decided to stop shaving because he wanted to look cooler.

This is just a little beard. I realised there is a pattern in history, all the coolest people have beards - like Abraham Lincoln, he joked. So I thought I would grow one.

Zac went on to discuss his romance with Vanessa Hudgens. The pair have been dating since they met on the set of the High School Musical franchise in 2005. Zac has revealed he is still smitten with Vanessa, saying she is amazing and their relationship is better than ever. (C) Cover Media
