After a massive controversy that tensed the Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh starrer 'Padmaavat', the film finally surpasses all the hurdles and is now successfully running on the silver screen.
And it proved more special to Deepika as there came a moment where her ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor's parent appreciated the 32-year-old actress with the kindest of gesture for her stellar acting performance as Rani Padmini.
Both Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor watched the movie at a special screening that was hosted by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. In fact, she received admirable wishes from the two in a sweet little letter along with flowers. The letter had a message that read ''Excellent work, so very proud of you, Love Neetu and Rishi Kapoor.''
Deepika went on to share a photo on her Instagram handle sharing the pic as she captioned the image as, "it was so lovely seeing both of you yesterday...Thank You for all the love & appreciation!@neetu54#RishiKapoor."
The actress was showered with a lot of compliments and indeed her performance from the film was the reason. On asked which is the best compliment she received she said "Well, it’s a bit awkward but it would have to be the one given to me by Javed Akhtar saab. He said, "This is your Mother India. I just bowed my head in front of him. Sanjay Leela Bhansali sir was also present when he said it."
