September 30, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Dries Van Noten displayed his “handsome woman” at the opening of the celebrated Paris Fashion Week. The aforementioned “handsome woman” is his inspiration for the Spring of 2011.
There were several over-sized tuxedo jackets. They were all worn as dresses along with wide trousers in denim as well as white cotton. There were several shirts that were tied at the waist to make them look like skirts.
The womanly apparels were placed side by side to several manly cut so as to tailor them perfectly. There was a collection of a lot of floral motif silks, tunics that showcased an oriental feel and even gorgeous dresses. Waists were firmly and broadly bound and the sleeves were billowed in the style of a kimono.
Color fade and a dual-tone approach was also an understandable style and there were many blazers that were fused with animated colors like the blush pink and cerise in a certain dip-dye fashion.
There are several Sorbet shades of both lemon and peach that were seen on button up blouses there was traditional powder blue, mint green and shades of pink on the overall dress.
There were many sequins that took the collection from day to night along with several box cut jackets and many tops that were longlined. These tops shimmered with the gold and pink colored decoration.
